Today’s message broadly outlines the contingency planning Parsons House has under taken for “What If…” scenarios in response to the Covid-19 virus.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s), as you have heard in the news, is in extremely short supply. Through the generosity, time and effort of St. Roberts, St. Vincent DePaul, and St. Michaels Lutheranparishioners, we have received enough hand sewed cloth face masks, to supply all Staff and Residents! THANK YOU for helping keep Parsons House safe and healthy!

Parsons House is currently fully staffed. We have not had any incidents to date of abnormal absenteeism. We are paying staff to stay home if they are not feeling well. Moreover, we continue to have daily inquiries about available job openings! But we also have contingencies in place to supplement labor in all of our departments if the need arises. There is even a contingency to have food prepared off site and catered in for residents and staff.

The HHC and Hospice providers that do enter our community for medical necessities are asked to inform us what other communities they have visited. So, if an outbreak occurs at another facility, we are able to quickly cross reference that information to determine any possible exposure.

In conclusion, Parsons House embraces President Eisenhower’s infamous statement, “Plans are worthless, but planning is everything.” Thank you all for your continued support, cooperation and understanding as we work together to keep the COVID-19 virus from our Community.
